Abstract
Leaves of three species of Compositae were morpho-histologycal studied: Emitia sonchifolia L., Sonchus asper (L.) Hill and Taraxacum ojJicinale Weber. The study was carried out by comparison intending to differentiate the species even when they
were employed in mixture or in frauds by substitution betwen themselves. Relative
dimensions of epidermal cells, occurrence of double or triple stomas and latex ducts were
some of the histologycal characteristics detached as important to the diagnosis of the species when they were trated (industrializated, strongly triturated, etc).
