Abstract
Vegetables or parts of vegetables formerly displaced, are nowadays employed to
make the multiple flour to complete the alimentation ofthe poor population. This paper intends to give data to identify the leafy componds of this flour, giving descriptions and drawings of the characteristics histologycal elements of of the leaves of six vegetable species: Manihot utilissima Pohl (cassava), Cucurbita pepo L. (pumpkim),Secchium edule Swartz (chayote),Ipomoea batatas Lam. (sweetpotato), Vitis sp (grape) and Hibiscus esculentus L. (okra).
