Abstract
Aflatoxins MIo M•• and B, were completely sepa ra ted by high-performance li quid chromatography in reversed-phase C-18 columns by uai ng acetonitrile-water (35% + 65%) as eluting solvent and a flow rate of 2.0 ml/minute. Compounds were detected by ultraviolet absorbance at 350 nm. Peak height and retention time were reproducible. M1 was determined at levels of 0.2 ppb or higher and M2 at 0.1 ppb or higher. Recovery of 87.5% was found for M, and of 102% for M2.
