Abstract

Phosphin is an agricultural spray which is much used in Brazil. Beeause of its toxicity at even low concentrations, 45 samplcs of various foods were examined by the spectrophotometric procedure. Residues were found in 77.8% of the specírnens. Levels ranged from 0.01 to 5.5 mg/kg.
