Copyright, Licensing and Archiving

COPYRIGHT

Authors retain the copyright to their manuscripts without restrictions and are fully responsible for all submitted and published content, including compliance with copyright law (Law No. 9,610/1998) and obtaining permissions for the use of third-party material, ensuring proper attribution where applicable.

LICENSING

This journal is licensed under a Creative Commons Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. The rights belong to the authors, and this license allows others to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon their work, even for commercial purposes, as long as proper credit is given for the original creation. It is the most flexible of all the available licenses. It is recommended to maximize the dissemination and use of licensed materials.

ARCHIVING

Authors are permitted to deposit all versions of their articles in institutional or subject-specific digital repositories, allowing for the self-archiving of preprints, postprints/manuscripts accepted by the author, and published articles/final formatted and published versions.

In addition, the journal Hansenologia Internationalis encourages authors to self-archive their accepted manuscripts by publishing them on personal blogs, academic or personal social media, provided that a complete citation to the version on the journal’s website is included.
