The author indicates as the best measures regarding the prophylaxié of hanseniasis a) The active involvement of the patients as well as those in immediate contact in the struggle against the disease. They should be put on the alert for the discovery of new cases and their indication to a specialist. b) The unrestricted sale of sulfone in order to give to the patients, easer access to that drug. c) The creation of an Institute of Scientific Research for the study of hanseniasis. d) The raising of fundi through government or private (tax deductible), contributions of national and international institutions.
