Abstract

The authors observed the antialgic effects of Indomethacin in thirty-six out-patients suffering from hanseniasis (leprosy). All of them had neuralgias and other pains. The Indomethacin doses ranged from 75 to 200 mg daily. Twenty-seven patients showed excellent response to the drug; six had only a slight improvement and one got no results at all. The observed side-effects were unimportant: vomiting and nausea (one case), nausea (six cases) and dizziness (two cases).
