This journal follows the standards set forth in the SciELO Program's Digital Preservation Policy.

Hansenologia Internationalis uses the LOCKSS system from the Public Knowledge Project (PkP) to create a distributed archiving system among the journals of the São Paulo State Health Department, enabling the creation of permanent archives of the journal for preservation and restoration purposes.

The journal is also part of the Cariniana network, the Brazilian Network of Digital Preservation Services from the Brazilian Institute of Science and Technology (IBICT). See also: Keepers.
