Abstract

The addition of novobiocin to selenite broth (40/lg/ml) ímproved its activity as an selective medium for the isolation of SaZmonella from faeces. Significantly better results were obtained with the modified medium due to the reduction of
Proieus overgrowth by the antibiotic.
