Abstract

The response to various doses of pentetrazol was studied in white mice chranically infected with a low-virulence strain of Toxoplasma gondii. Uninfected mice of the same source were also tested. Therate of occurrence of mioclonic reactions, freezing, and convulsion after sub-lethal doses of pentetrazol was studied through administration of 32, 36, 38, 41 and 44 mg per kg of animal weight, respectively, to each of twenty mice. Low rates of response under ali tested parameters was observed; this presumably resulting from an alteration in the regulatory mechanism of the central nervous system.
